It’s my Birthday!

My birthday was on Monday but I feel like celebrating everyday of this week 🙂

I had lots of surprises this year. Dav did a really good job.

Surprise No. 1

Dav bought me a Cotton Candy Maker!! I remember telling him about wanting one few months ago. Can’t believe he really got me one. He even bought me 2 flavoured sugar, strawberry and apple.

Coincidentally my younger sis also bought me the exact same thing! We reckon great minds think a like. hahahahahaha

Surprise No. 2

Then on my birthday I received a huge box from M&S. The box turns out to be a bouquet of roses & tulips. So pretty!

The flowers are so pretty and smells so good too. Hopefully it can last long. It certainly attracts a lot of attention to my desk.

Surprise No. 3

We went to a pub in Holborn before dinner. After arriving less then 5 mins suddenly I saw NB arriving… followed by CL. Then 10 mins later VB was there too! Dav had secretly invited my girlfriends to come for drinks. We had a good catch up since I’ve been away for 2 weeks.

Presents from hubby

I received a surprise gift from Dav today. Just like last time, he got me 2 new t-shirts from Threadless. It is so cute and meaningful. I think 90% of my t-shirts are from Threadless now.

One of the shirt is named “Angry Fowl”. The picture of the pic on the shirt, it look exactly like the pigs in Angry Bird but with a twist….

DS’ Birthday Presents

It was David’s birthday last week and for his birthday I decided to design notebook for him.

Dav love to use notebooks so I thought it would be a good idea to custom made notebooks for him. I used Blurb which is my regular self publishing service provider to design the notebook. Their application is so easy to use plus you can download your pictures from Flickr.

Home sweet home

It has been 5 weeks since I was home alone.

I was back in KL for 3 weeks on a business trip and then after that my parents came to London with me in preparation for my younger sis’ wedding in Liverpool. So one week was spent taking my parents around London and then we were off to Liverpool for the wedding. After that my elder sis and her family came back to London with us for one week before they head off to Amsterdam to continue their holiday.

It was a freaking busy 5 weeks!!

Our neighbour has been away for the summer as well and got back yesterday. They gave us 2 bunches of roses to inform us that they are home. How sweet.

I will be blogging more now that I’m back in action…

Season of giving

I received my Christmas gift early this year. It’s quite funny how we’re not Christian but we still adopt the practice of giving gifts. There was no gift last year as we bought the PS3 and the year before Dav bought me a DS Lite.

So, I came home late on Thursday night and found a nicely wrapped box on the bed, waiting for me. The box was shipped from Amazon, USA. There can only be one item in there… indeed it was the Kindle! If you have never heard about this gadget, it’s an electronic book reader. I’ve always wanted one.

It is a black and white e-book reader, about the size of A5 (half of A4). The look and feel is very sleek and smooth.

Look how slim the e-reader is.

So besides Dav giving me a present, I’ve also decided to give myself a present to reward myself. I finally bought myself a DSLR. I got the Canon 7D. Now I can proudly say I’m a owner of a DSLR!

Another surprise!!

Not sure what has gotten into Dav… maybe he loves me too much. He gave me another surprised gift! This time it is a Swarovski Crystal Mini Butterfly Pendant. He bought it when he was in HK.

According to him, he was in a shopping frenzy when it was time to fly home. So he went ard the airport and started looking for stuff to buy. Since I am kinda crazy abt butterfly, he thought it wld be nice to get me another one. He also bought my parents tea leaves and chinese biscuits.

Thanks babe! *muak*

Being a messenger

that’s how I feel … esp when I’m bound to travel to London. Lets take this trip for example, the request/ orders I have been given to fulfilled:

To bring home:

  • one computer science textbook (for dav)
  • DVDs (to be returned to the shop)
  • a present
  • a belated birthday card for mum
  • few boxes of chocolates (mummy’s fav too)
  • 2 bottle of garnier spot cream (for joyce)
  • 3 vanilla flavoured car air freshener

and I thought my bag would be lighter when i leave this city….

Tmrw is my mummy’s birthday. A quick shout out to her (cos I wont arrive till Sun)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

Longest Time Apart

Dav flew off this morning… he will be in US for about 2 months. During these 2 months, I have my own trip organised… Korea for 2 weeks, then off to Vietnam for 3 weeks. This will be the longest time we’re apart since we got together. On top of that, he wont be able to celebrate my birthday with me…

Since he wont be around to celebrate my birthday with me, he promised to spend one whole day shopping with me and I get to choose what I want (of course not ANYTHING… within the limits la). So off we went shopping last Saturday… we were out from 10am until 12 midnite! Besides shopping for a birthday gift, he had to run some errands for his trip as well… and we watched Cars. It was a very funny animation. Pixar never dissapoints.

Presents from Dav… 2 lovely boxes… which contains…
1. Butterfly pendant
2. Bracelet

Also managed to get a dual analog time watch from GUESS … couple’s set some more!
