Iguazu Falls

The Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. They are the largest waterfalls system in the world.  We initially did not include this place in our itinerary, wondering whether it is worth the money and effort to go all way up north.  I’m glad we changed our mind.

We only visited the Argentine side of the waterfalls and I have to say it was very impressive.  There are five main tracks all of which are paved and well marked therefore you can spend more than 1 day here.  We ended up going to the park 2 days (half price on 2nd day if you validate your ticket before leaving on the first day).

Beware of taxi driver from the airport, offering to take you to the national park directly.  We ended up paying double the taxi price to be able to spend more time in the park.  I would suggest you get some advice from the hostel/hotel to arrange your transport and itinerary as we found out it was much cheaper.
