Iceland Highlights

Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)

We came to Iceland in the middle of winter to catch the Northern Lights.  Am happy we managed to see it twice.

Driving in the snow

It was our first time driving in the snow… not just a light snow but heavy snow storm!  It was exciting but also worrisome.  Everyday we had to make sure the highway is opened and that we can make it to our next destination in good time.  The other challenge we face was the fact that there is only 4 hrs of daylight during winter.  That means we drove mainly in the dark!

There are lots of waterfall in Iceland.  Best to choose those that are epic and along the route you’re driving along to avoid wasting time.
