Accommodation in South Wales

Pwll Deri YHA

Our first night was spent in Pwll Deri, a very remote place by the sea. A quote from the YHA website describing Pwll Deri:

A remote and idyllic cliff top setting with spectacular views and glorious sunsets, perfectly situated for activity breaks and walking holidays.

We didn’t do much around this area besides doing some walks and just enjoy the coast and sunset. We stayed in the YHA, which is just besides the Pembrokeshire Coast path. Unfortunately I had food poisoning after we had lunch at a local cafe. So we stayed close to the YHA, in case I need the toilet… 😦

The hostel is a self catering accommodation, thus it doesnt offer much. We ended up cooking pasta for dinner and had an early night.

Manorbier YHA

This hostel is situated on a cliff top with a fabulous ocean views and sandy beaches just at its doorstep. Not too far away is the same Pembrokeshire Coast Path. This hostel provides food service and a lot bigger than Pwll Deri YHA. So we ended up having our dinners in the hostel and chill out for the night. We were quite tired after driving so much and spending the whole day in St Davids & Whitesands beach.

Belgrave Hotel, Tenby

After spending 2 nights separately in same sex dorm, it was nice to have our own room. No more noise (esp snoring) and avoiding waking up everybody when you move on your bunk bed (the bed was very squeaky bed).

It was a good choice to sleep in a hotel before the long drive back to London.

Next: St Davids
