So we had 28 items on our list before we arrive. After a brief check, we have only managed to eat 21 items. Not bad.. considering I still have 2.5 days before I fly (and Dav has 3 days). Also on the 1st and 2nd day of CNY, alot of the shops here are not open for business! So we had to mainly eat whatever we can find. Here’s a summary of what we ate:
We tried the ever famous new Jap Buffet in Solaris Mont Kiara, Tenji. What a disappointment!! So much hype about this place and what a big let-down!! My friend J was sooo traumatised by the food that she swear off Jap food for at least one month… she is a Jap food lover like us!
As a replacement, we also visited Rakuzen in Subang Jaya. Rakuzen never disappoint! We have always love Rakuzen…. yummy yummy
This one definitely cannot be missed by Dav. Already had one round. Tonite he’s gonna have petai for dinner at home… this one maybe better since it’s home cooked.
We ate not very nice bak kut teh in Klang. Didnt have the chance to go to Sg Way. Perhaps for breakfast before we leave.
We were lucky to have our first meal in KL on board MAS. They were serving nasi lemak as a breakfast option. Several breakfast later also consists of nasi lemak but again not specifically bought from Sg Way.
We had very nice nyonya asam laksa in Melaka during our day trip.
We almost didnt get to eat chai kueh because (a) Dav’s bro forgot to pick it up before leaving Penang, and (b) We decided to cancel our Penang trip. But luckily Dav’s brother brought back lots of chai kueh for us today when he had to head to KL for work. Thanks Jackson!
Chinese dessert were eaten during all the CNY dinners. So we didnt have to go to SS2 for the tong sui there.
Havent had any seafood yet.. surprisingly. But we plan to have seafood in Subang Airport on Fri nite.
