Matthew Bourne's Edward Scissorhands

2 weeks ago we watched Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre. We got cheap tickets from my company’s social club (Every month they offer cheap tickets to musicals / theatre / plays).

This was a dance interpretation of the story as shown in the movie. It is indeed quite odd to watch this dance show as they dont talk. All they do is make little noises when they dance. This show has nothing to shout about. Maybe cos I dont know how to appreciate a dance show. Perhaps a ballet would be a better option.

But I have to say, the real highlight of the show for me was at the end of the show the audience was showered with lots of foam!!! Luckily the foam dried out quite fast. As we sat in the middle of the 2nd row from the stage, we got ‘soaked’ quite badly. I dont think we’ll gonna watch another ‘dance’ show anytime soon.
