While Mumbai is under terrorist attacks, riots going on in Bangkok, the States trying to rescue the financial and manufacturing industry – I am peacefully going about my work in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It’s been quite cold here since I arrived. Today was slightly better as it has been raining the whole day. You would think that living in London for one yr would have trained me up quite well… so WRONG!! I am soo not used to the cold. Even my Russian colleagues is complaining about the weather.
Am staying in a hotel which is situated in the heart of the city centre. Just opposite the hotel is the famous Tivoli Gardens. Been told it’s like a really famous european theme park where Disneyland is based upon. Been browsing the tourist pamplet and doesnt seem like there’s much to see. I might want to visit the art gallery cos Danish is famous for their furniture design and maybe even visiting the Carlsberg Brewery.
One peculiar thing we noticed so far at least in the office is that Danish ppl stop working starting at 4pm… apparently this is very common. According to a local, this may be due to the cold weather and how the day is so short. Although they stop work quite early, they do start early at 8am.
Here’s some pics taken from my hotel room.
