Visit to Fish Market

I was woken up at 6am today for a visit to Billingsgate Market which only opens from 0630 – 0830. Was very tempted to say no and keep sleeping, esp when the weather is cold. But I decided not to disappoint Dav cos I agreed to go (obviously I have done alot of ‘Can we not go…?’ in the past. heheheh)

The market is near Canary Wharf tube station, about 10 mins walk from the station. Took us about an hour to get there. By the time we arrived, a lot of the stalls have already sold everything and started the cleaning process. We also saw alot of ppl buying seafood by the boxes!

The price is not exactly cheap, but I guess by London’s standard, its ok. But some of the fish is not very fresh as well. The only thing we bought was 2 packet of frozen Queen Scallop for GBP 8.

Oh, btw, my work schedule has changed. I will be flying back to KL next Tues, home for 2 weeks then off to India for 2 weeks. After which I will head back to KL for 4 days before coming back to London for Christmas and New Year!
